Our Story
JESUS - WOMEN - AKRON
Akron Women on Purpose started back in 2017 with a simple idea. Bring Akron area women together to worship, pray and encourage each other toward Jesus.
Everyday women. Honest stories. Real encounters with God. A space where we can be encouraged, worship, pray and cheer each other on in our walk with Jesus.
Year after year, hundreds of women have gathered with one focus. Jesus. No putting speakers on pedastools. No spotlight on a particular ministry. Just a room full of women who want to know God more.

Is it only for women in Akron?
Not at all! Women come from all over Northeast Ohio and beyond. We call it Akron Women on Purpose because our heart is for this region, but the event is open to any woman who wants to gather, worship, and grow closer to Jesus.
What should I wear?
Come just as you are. One of the big values of this conference is embracing who God created you to be... no pressure, no performance. Our speakers will be dressed in whatever they’re comfortable in (for me, that’s a t-shirt and Converse). Wear what feels like you. No need to dress up or impress anyone here.
Are there any scholarships ?
Yes! We never want cost to be the reason someone can’t come. We have options available for reduced-rate or fully covered tickets. Just reach out to [email protected] and ask about scholarships — we’d love to help.
Is there Childcare?
At this time, we’re not able to offer childcare for the event. We know that can be challenging for some moms, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to be there.
